As a young woman, mohawk highed and leather clad I was rescued by a group of punkers who dwelled in an old victorian dubbed, "the Pirate House". Straight from the trashy and sweltering dysfunction of an unhappy home, I found a place to be safe, entertained and taken care of. That was, ahem, a very long time ago and adulthood found me very unpunked. But Rock Ceremony, when they performed at the Disco Warriors show, brought me back to that free, wild, rockin' place that I had almost forgotten. With that good old punk sound reminiscent of The Ramones, The Kinks and The Clash, Rock Ceremony is a walk down memory lane but is never a throwback. Their sound is wholly unique and entirely vibrant and their drummer is 11 years old. They are a band where young and old meet in harmonious and discordant joy. They have just released a new D.
